About

I first became interested in Ham Radio and short wave listening at the early age of 13. As a teen, I worked in several electronics stores due to my interest in the hobby. Later, I went on to work at the Heathkit store in Towson, MD, which further grew my interest in electronics, communications and computers.

In 1993, I finally obtained my Technician class amateur radio license. Shortly after receiving my license, I joined Navy/Marine Corps MARS (Military Affiliated Radio Service). In addition, I have been the ARES EC (Amateur Radio Emergency Services - Emergency Coordinator) for Harford County and also a RACES (Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services) member in Baltimore County.

I was a partner in an amateur radio products company that manufactured items to assist to learning Morse code. Also in the past, I have been very involved in the Hamboree Committee for BARC (Baltimore Amateur Radio Club). More recently, I have focused on helping to advance the causes of NEMARC (Northeast Amateur Radio Club).

Today, as a profession, I own a computer and networking consulting firm and am always trying to figure out how to integrate all of my interests.
